Hells Kitchen Brighton Review

I’ve been a huge fan of the Hells Kitchen salad boxes pretty much since I first moved to Brighton. I’m kicking myself now for not trying one of their sandwiches sooner!

Hells Kitchen has two locations, one in The Lanes and one in Hove. I went to the Lanes one to try my first ever sandwich! Don’t get me wrong, the ‘saintly salads’ are incredible, but today I wanted something more substantial.

They have “seven deadly sandwiches” on offer – each named and themed after one of the seven deadly sins.

I went for ‘Envy’ – smoked salmon, crayfish, cucumber, avocado, rocket, and thousand island dressing. I asked for the tomatoes that it comes with to be removed and they happily added more avocado instead – it’s the kind of place where it’s no trouble to change something in your sandwich, which I really like.

The size and filling of the sandwich is EXTREMELY generous! You get the choice of seeded brown or white bread – a huuuge chunk of it – and it’s totally full to the brim. They definitely do not scrimp on fillings.

The mix of crayfish and salmon is absolutely delicious and the thousand island sauce gives it major prawn cocktail vibes, but in the best kind of way. The drizzle of lemon tops the whole thing off and honestly, it’s one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had.

At just £4.95, the sandwich is an absolute bargain. It was full to the brim with crayfish and salmon, a huge portion size and the tables outside are the perfect people watching spot. 10/10 will be going back to try the six other deadly sins.
